WHY “AGENT ROSE”?

Why “AGENT ROSE”? What was the inspiration behind the name?
We grow and bloom through adversity. And a rose is the symbol of love and passion, unapologetic sensuality. And strangely enough, many experiences and people have really molded me into my namesake over the years, like some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy I never asked for. I’ll stop at that. But I don’t dwell on those negative experiences, I’d rather be a light.
I actually started social media many years back by posting my artwork only, not my writing and quotes.

My written work on social media, my blog, and ANGEL IN BONDAGE often contain themes around enlightenment, spiritual and personal development, mental health, and more, in addition to the romance. I’m happy if if I can spark positive change through my creative work.

Aside from my creative stories and poems centered around romance, my blog and AiB will likely also address a range of social, spiritual, and mental health issues. My views may be controversial and triggering, especially to those who haven’t done their inner work.
If you want to get to know me, your best bet is reading ANGEL IN BONDAGE © and my blog. It’s cliché to say, but I really do put my heart into AiB, and anyone’s passion says a lot about them. I’ve shed so many tears over this, and so have my readers, which I’m happy about because it means I have moved so many emotionally. I feel things so, so deeply, and I hope I can move you as my sensitivity leaks into my writing. I’ll definitely cover more on the behind-the-scenes inspiration, characters, art, and worldbuilding on the blog.
They say written work always tells something about the author, and I think that’s so true. You can definitely feel my heart and soul through AiB and the characters.
I LURED YOU IN WITH THE SEX
A few quick takes on ANGEL ON BONDAGE:
- The title is partial satire, and it’s fucking working. I’ll blog about this later, but the whole “sex sells” scheme is upsetting because shallowness is so often preferred over substance. So, am I luring people in with sex to talk about more important issues? Yes.
- But is it still a sexy read? Yes. I tend to have too much of a certain kind of energy on me at any given moment, so it tends to leak into whatever I do, anyway. Besides, I can’t disappoint people too much with a title like this.
- I illustrate the AiB cast pretty realistically, in order to make it easier for you all to believe that they could exist in real life, versus drawing in a manga or comic style. Unfortunately my art style takes a lot of time that I currently don’t have, so I can’t illustrate AiB or make comics nearly as often as I want to. I just don’t have that kind of support, at least not right now.
- Unfortunately I keep having to say this because people keep assuming: Yiuna, AiB’s “female Bond” who is often in my profile picture, is not me. I don’t look like her, nor did I “self-insert” myself into AiB. Are there similarities? Yes. She comes from my head, after all, like all the other characters. They all have my influence in some way. On that note, please don’t imagine or idealize my looks to live up to society’s unattainable beauty standards. I could never live up to that (though I look just fine, thank you). I would rather be known for my heart, my work, and the people I service through my work.
- So, so many people have cried (good tears) just two chapters in. I love hearing from you guys, so any submitted comments on my site really do mean a lot.
